Isle of Man Staycations

Staycation FAQ's

At this time of uncertainty, we realise you may have one or two questions about your staycation experience. Here we help you plan your short stay with us on the Isle of Man, and answer any questions you may have.

How do I book a short break?

If you are an Isle of Man resident we can now accept bookings for stays from 25th May 2020. If you are travelling from off island (apart from Guernsey - see below) we are not currently open for bookings for visits before 5th September 2020. If you were due to stay with us and are not an Isle of Man resident please refer to our travel information here.

To choose an available property view browse our Staycation collection and book online.

Can I stay with friends?

Yes! As from 15th June there are no longer any restrictions on this.

What happens if lock down returns and we are forced to cancel the booking?

If you have booked a staycation with us and the Government force us to cancel the booking, you will be entitled to change the dates or take a refund. If you cancel your booking with us for other reasons then a refund will not be offered in line with our standard terms & conditions

Can I bring my dog?

We have a range of pet friendly properties available. If you see one that is showing as not pet friendly, it is always a good idea to check with us to see if there is any flexibility.

What is the minimum stay?

Some properties are offering a minimum stay of 2 nights, others 3 nights. We are unable to provide 1 night stays due to the level of deep cleaning we conduct between guest bookings.

The Isle of Man and Guernsey have formed an airbridge. I live in Guernsey can I book?

Yes! We look forward to welcoming you, and our Staycation offer is also valid for you. Please enter STAYCATION in the voucher code at the checkout for 10% off.

Can you guarantee the properties are clean?

We cannot and will not guarantee that the properties are free from infection, however our professional cleaning team are following their usual checklist with enhanced disinfection of hard surfaces and touch points in the properties. Island Escapes prides itself on the level of cleaning at our fully managed properties and in the current circumstances this is no different. Cleaning products will be provided at the properties for guests who may wish to conduct their own wipe down of surfaces.

Will I have to meet anyone at the property?

The keys for our properties are generally held within a key safe box. We will provide you with the code ahead of your arrival so you can let yourself in or other arrangements will be made.

At some properties we will arrange to meet you where we deem this necessary.

I begin my stay and start to experience symptoms of COVID-19. What should I do?

If you experience COVID symptoms during your stay, you should follow the guidance on www.gov.im/covid -19 You should return to your household for the required 14 day self- isolation period and notify us immediately. Do not start your holiday if you are already experiencing symptoms before you leave home. If you are normally a Guernsey resident please contact us to discuss.

Why do you ask for the names of all guests at booking?

We are required to gather the names of all guests in case anybody in the party shows symptoms of COVID-19, to allow contact tracing to take place if necessary. These details will only be held for as long as necessary in line with our privacy policy.
