Relaxing stay

Stansfieid House is in a lovely part of the island. The view from the living room is stunning regardless of the weather. The house was warm and comfortable and the owner very helpful when needed. The sofa could do with a clean/re-cover. Great walks from the door.

Stansfield House, Dalby, Isle of Man.

We had a really wonderful stay here, so peaceful with beautiful views and sunsets. I have no negative comments to make but would say that the well equipped but very small kitchen would prove difficult if guests wanted to do more than a small amount of cooking. I happily prepared breakfasts, salads, sandwiches and similar. We had our dog with us and he enjoyed lovely walks to Niarbyl which is right on the doorstep. We are really looking forward to a return trip next year. Infact we won't be looking at any other place to stay!! Excellent.

Lovely quiet spot with amazing views

What a joy to sit and watch the sunset over the sea from the balcony or lounge. Very cosy property, warm and great shower. Contrary to other opinions, we found the wi-fi was fine (maybe slower than home but perfectly ok), also though the kitchen was very small, the detail did make that clear, though the photos were misleading. Sofa and chair were comfy but do need a good clean, since they looked tired and a bit grubby. Suggest a night light at top of stairs would be good (or bring a torch) as pitch black going down stairs to loo at night. Overall, pleased with property.

Perfect location for a quiet get away from the crowds experience.

The views of the sunsets were spectacular (but we were blessed with a find hot week). The facilities were fine though the kitchen and bedroom were small. The lounge compensated for these. The bathroom on the ground floor was expected and we got used to the long journey!

Marvellous Manx

We so enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was superb and we wanted to take the view home with us. The only issues we had was the Wi Fi was like surfing in treacle and would have liked to be able to recycle our rubbish on site. This being said we certainly would come back. Such a peaceful stress free stay. Thank you.

The good and the bad

The good points first :- The view from the lounge was amazing and when we had a problem with the fridge both Island Escapes and the owner reacted promptly and were very helpful. The bad point:- The kitchen was tiny with no real workspace , I found it impossible to make a main meal in it. Clever photography had given a misleading impression of it's size.
