Quality has always been at the heart of the business and our local presence means we very much operate a hands on approach to our properties, ensuring a high quality of service to our guests and homeowners alike. Since our early beginnings, the company has grown significantly and has become a well-known and trusted brand on the Isle of Man, and for our growing number of visitors who choose to stay with us and return year on year.
Our commitment to the environment is extremely important to us, continuously investigating ways to improve sustainability, for example through reducing single use plastics wherever possible in our fully managed properties.
We are proud to be a corporate sponsor of the Manx Wildlife Trust and Culture Vannin and are a proud partner of UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man.
Island Escapes is also pleased to provide full management services for the holiday accommodation owned by Manx National Heritage.
In April 2023 Island Escapes won the Consumer Champion Award at the ShortTermRentalz Shortyz awards 2023, held at Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park, London in recognition for our commitment to our services to our guests and homeowners. In November 2023 we were proud to win the Media Isle of Man award for Customer Service Excellence, great recognition in our local community.
In June 2025, we joined the Sapphire Holidays family, a family-owned business that’s best known for its brands Classic Cottages, Aspects Holidays, Boutique Retreats and Unique Hideaways.
Sapphire Holidays is B-Corp certified. Meeting the high standards set by B Lab is no easy task and while the company has held these values close to heart since the very beginning, the B Corp verification process has provided a platform in which to recognise them.

Our handpicked properties are all subject to compulsory annual registration with the Isle of Man Government. Each property goes through a rigourous process to ensure it complies with the Tourism Act 1975. Each are independently inspected; so you can be confident that any accommodation you choose has been duly inspected and rated by the same industry professionals as in the UK.
Island Escapes itself is regularly assessed by QIA Services, a specialist verification, assessment, awards and accreditation company. The outcome of this assessment has been that the company received a Quality Accredited Company Gold award, first in 2022 and has retained this every year since.
