Douglas & the East

Douglas, the capital of the Isle of Man, offers a blend of historical charm, stunning coastal views, and modern amenities. The Douglas Bay Horse Tramway is one of the most iconic and charming features of the Isle of Man. Established in 1876, this historic tramway runs along the promenade in Douglas and is one of the oldest horse-drawn tramways in the world still in operation.

This home is immacutely clean, the beds are high quailty and very comfortable, the linens, pillows - all are spot on for comfort and luxury. Every detail is thought of in the kitchen, and they left a lovely sourdough loaf with some milk and butter in the fridge. The decorations and attention to detail with how everything ties together is impressive. The art reflects style and the Isle of Man. If we could buy this home as is, with all the furnishings and decor, we would, 100%. All I can say it is amazing, and we were sad to leave. My 9 year old asked if we could stay at Cascadia House for the summer (and all summers coming, actually). We would love to if we could. Don't second guess the price, it's worth every pound :) Can't wait to stay at Cascadia House again, soon!

I have been coming to the IOM for 40 Yrs. This place is the best by far that I have ever stayed at. The facilities, Comfort, Location could not be any better. A VIEW TO DYE FOR. 3 Mins to the sea. Everything you need is in 7 mins walking distance. Shop,Pub,Two Italian restaurants, Chinese takeaway. What more could you want. Will deffo Be Back.

We needed a break away from everything and this was perfect. Beautiful place to stay with plenty of walks nearby. We could chill and do nothing but listen to the birds and enjoy the special spaces Loved the little welcome pieces that John and Shirley scattered around. Close Taggart is a special place and we will be back.
