We’re delighted to share that thanks to your support, our customer donation scheme has raised over £25,000 for Manx Wildlife Trust since its launch in 2018!
In 2025 alone, more than £5,000 has been donated, all thanks to the voluntary £3 contributions made by guests with each booking. The donations went directly to Manx Wildlife Trust (MWT) to help protect the Isle of Man’s wildlife and natural spaces. This is an incredible milestone that reflects the generosity of our guests and the strength of our partnership with MWT.
To celebrate this achievement, MWT volunteers created a beautiful flower-laden luggage cart, now proudly displayed outside our Castletown office. The cart, filled with vibrant blooms supplied by Castletown Commissioners, is a symbol of our shared commitment to enjoy and protect our beautiful island.
Graham Makepeace-Warne, Chief Executive of MWT, shared his appreciation: “Island Escapes’ support has made a real and lasting difference to our work. Over £25,000 raised in just seven years is a tremendous achievement, and every single donation helps us protect the Island’s special landscapes and wildlife. This partnership is a shining example of how tourism and conservation can work hand in hand.”
John Keggin, Commercial Director of Island Escapes, added: “We’re delighted to have reached this milestone. Our visitors love the Isle of Man for its natural beauty, and supporting MWT is a way of helping to keep it special. The flower cart is a wonderful gesture from MWT and Castletown Commissioners, and we’re proud to display it.”
We remain committed to sustainable tourism and supporting local conservation efforts. Together with MWT, we’re ensuring that future generations can enjoy the wildlife, landscapes, and charm that make the Isle of Man so special. Discover how your donations supported Manx Wildlife Trust.
