At Island Escapes, we love nothing more than getting involved in community events and activities. And sometimes that involves getting a little muddy…

For the second year running, we were delighted to be the lead sponsor of Tough Mucka, the Isle of Man’s ultimate obstacle challenge, standing alongside Isle Listen. This event is more than just a test of endurance; it’s a celebration of grit, teamwork, and community spirit, all in support of mental health and wellbeing.
Steven Downward, Fundraising Lead at Isle Listen, added: "This is the third instalment of our flagship fundraising event, Tough Mucka, and each year the event has gone from strength to strength! We were delighted to have Island Escapes back as lead sponsor for the second year running. John and the team have been great supporters of Isle Listen from the start and we are so glad to have this continued relationship. The support from Island Escapes has allowed the event to grow to a regular fixture in the sporting calendar, as well as allowing financial security to make the event a fundraising success. Aside from financial support, the team put in many hours of hard work to assist with building the course and ensuring the event is a success. The best part of all was watching the team cross the finish line, covered in mud and with big smiles on their faces! We look forward to working more with Island Escapes in the future."

This year, we also contributed a £1,000 Island Escapes voucher to the prize draw. This gave every Mucka participant the chance to win a well-deserved getaway. Huge congratulations to David, our lucky winner.
John Keggin, Commercial Director at Island Escapes, commented: “Being part of the community is at the heart of our business, so we’re proud to continue the sponsorship of this great community event once more.”

Whether we’re cheering from the sidelines or climbing over walls ourselves, we’re proud to be part of events that make a difference. Tough Mucka is a perfect example of what happens when a community comes together, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year.
