the house was a bit hard to find on the estate the first time quite a climb if walking house was spacious i found the settee soft and not easy to get of double bed was fine the king size bed was to singles put together it was very large public transport is excellent the staff at island escapes where very efficient and very informative we would use them again when we come again
Stayed twice at this home and enjoyed both times. The home is very comfortable and well equipped and well placed in Port Erin.
Excellent Excellent stay. Good location. Big garden. Port erin itself is lovely snd convenient as in the train
A spacious bungalow with attractive garden, games room and seats outside for sunny days. Comfortable bedrooms and spacious lounge.Excellent spot on island for touring with electric railway in town and good bus service.
Great place ideal location zo we were bear family that live here absolutely lovelly place to stay definatly cone back again
This is the second time we have stayed at 8 Links Close and if we came back to the Island we would stay here again. The bungalow is in a quiet location in the lovely town of Port Erin and is comfortable and spacious. There was everything we needed. The bathroom has been decorated since our visit in April 2022. The heating has been upgraded and the tv is now a smart tv. We had a lovely welcome pack on arrival and the bungalow was clean. We have no hesitation in recommending this property.
8 Links Close is a welcoming peaceful house to stay in. Everything we needed and ideally suited to exploring Port Erin and the beautiful surroundings. Smashing!
Perfect location, in quiet cul de sac, in beautiful Port Erin. A great base for exploring the island. Clean and well presented, we only had one small problem which was dealt with immediately. Would definitely recommend
What a gem! A lovely bungalow with everything we needed for a lovely family holiday. Having two bathrooms was a bonus. The garden room at the back would have been good for older children but ours were too young to use the dartboard safely. The rooms were all spacious with plenty of room at the dining table and relaxing in the lounge. We appreciated the equipment available to borrow, like camping chairs and boogie boards. The welcome pack of bread, butter, cheese, milk, tea and coffee was indeed very welcome. The location is amazing. A quiet cul de sac within 10 minutes walk of beautiful Port Erin beach, the rail station, bus stop and town centre shops.
Lovely bungalow in a quiet setting. Spacious and comfortable feels like home from home. Loved the darts and table tennis. Would come again.
Not quite 4 star but comfortable and everything worked. The cutlery could do with replacing (especially teaspoons) and we had to search for a bedside cabinet for the double bedroom (found in a cupboard).
A comfortable holiday home in a good location. It provided all we needed for our holiday. Comfortable beds and comfortable lounge, but would suggest another chair rather than a bed acting as seating. The kitchen was well equipped and as shops are in walking distance, the fridge/freezer was adequate for our needs. The bathroom and en suite were both absolutely fine although the en suite is not of a generous size it had everything needed. We did not use the TV at all in 2 weeks so don't know about reception. Overall, we found the bungalow gave us all we wanted and we had a really good holiday.
My hubby was racing in Castletown close enough to circuit but far away to enjoy Port Erin which has lots of amenities & charm. Accommodation was great had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Would recommend.
Excellent bungalow in a quiet location , nice big rooms and just a 10min stroll to port Erin town Looked like there was plenty of cups/glasses etc and cooking equipment, good hot water , big lounge but for some reason there is a bed in there ?Downside is the shower rail in the main bathroom is loose and there is a very bad drain smell when using the en-suite shower also the fan in the en-suite was very noisy Very good welcome pack Would return without any problem
We have stayed in quite a few island escapes properties and been really pleased with the accommodation wasnt so pleased with this one its quite out dated ,really needs blinds up bedroom windows curtains are not good in day time ,curtains in lounge dont even fit window and why a bed in the lounge and a chair behind another chair didnt seem like a lounge , doors are quite hard to lock and the en-suite bathroom has a not so nice smell the double bed is quite small in the en-suite room more like a three quarter bathroom looks really nice and modern , in the kitchen cooker needs replacing although it did its job also good hob and everything you would need for a self catering holiday but really needs a bigger fridge freezer was not big enough for our needs , heating was really good and so was the hot water really pleased with the hamper that was left although we have had better in your other propertys but with the price of food we did understand , the only reason we booked this property was because it was a bungalow and it had its own drive
Great location and a lovely little house. Well presented on the inside. Fantastic little touches like Manx butter, bread and biscuits upon arrival. There are some areas for improvement, such as a drains smell in ensuite (masked a bit by some air fresheners), cobwebs around ceiling and external cobwebs all around windows (and subsequently quite a few spiders we had to remove) and little things like the absence of oven gloves. But all easily fixable. Overall, our family loved it there and it served us really well for our 10 day stay. Recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay. The bungalow is in great condition, with comfy furniture, great bathrooms and a well stocked set of kitchen items. It is in a quiet, residential area - not a great choice if you're looking for somewhere to host a noisy party (we weren't). The house is a 5 min walk from the seafront and the shops too. All in all, a great house in a lovely part of the island. If we were going to quibble, the TV needs replacing with something that will run off the WiFi rather than having to rely on the patchy aerial reception and a washing line would have helped, rather than just relying on the drying rack that was supplied. But we loved the house and recommend it really highly.
The bungalow was nice and plenty of space the only thing that would of made a bit better was to have a dishwasher. When we arrived we had been left a welcome pack of bread, milk, cheese, butter and enough tea and coffee to get us through until the following day when we could go shopping. The bedding and towels were clean and white . So all in all a very Pleasant place to stay .
great private sun trap out the back. Friendly neighbourhood. Good space for storing and washing down paddle boards. Walking distance from beach, supermarket and town centre.
We arrived at 8 links close to be greeted by the best provisions I have seen .Everything to start off your stay nice quality products cant be more thank fullThe Bungalow is spotless .Beautifully furnished with everything you could need Many thanks hope to stay again Helen Kennaugh and Family
The house was lovely and the location excellent, particularly for coastal walking. Port Erin is a lovely little town and the steam train is a real treat. Excellent chippy and cafe nearby. We had a wonderful week.
