This was the perfect location for our wedding party (family of the bride). We enjoyed a few days pre wedding and the space and location were fabulous! Couldnt have wished for a better home to prepare for the celebrations and share time with family and friends during our pre wedding celebrations.

Beautiful house, garden and grounds, and ideal for our family group, over for a few days to celebrate an 80th birthday. The house was large enough, so that everyone could have their own personal space, but not be too crowded when we were all together. The kitchen especially, was very well equipped. In fact, I have never stayed anywhere that was as well equipped as Stovell.Very thoughtful welcome pack of bread, milk, butter, cheese and chocolate had been left for our arrival.The cleaning team were still there when we arrived, through no fault of their own, and were lovely to speak to, and clearly took a lot of pride in their work, which was obvious, as the house was spotless.Communication with Island Escapes was very good, and any queries were dealt with quickly.Not a negative, but it was a shame there was no domestic recycling bins. Previous occupants had left bins overflowing, and loose bin bags, which the seagulls had ripped apart, so we had to clear that up on our first afternoon. We just took our recycling down to the Tesco in Douglas every couple of days, so no real hardship.Overall, a stunning house to stay in and would thoroughly recommend.

We had an unforgettable family vacation at Stovell and it wad the perfect environment for making lots of precious family memories. The house was clean, bright, well-stocked, cosy and very spacious. The grounds were also immacculate and the location quiet and private while also being close to amenities. This was our first time visiting this home from home, but hopefully not the last.

Suited our party really well, loads of room for us all and the fogs. Very well appointed kitchen with everything you need for cooking and barbecuing. Lovely courtyard and garden. East access in to Douglas and to the rest of this charming Island. Thank you we have had a great week.

The house was very well equipped throughout especially in the kitchen, just needed a couple of empty cupboards for food storage . The beds & bedrooms were very comfortable with plenty of storage.Unfortunately due to weather conditions we only managed 1 evening in the garden but there are plenty of places to sit outside . The conservatory was big and light ,comfortable seating , could do with a couple of chairs as with six it was very cosy on the settee.Bathrooms were good and towels very fluffy. Unfortunately there was only 1 toilet roll between 3 bathrooms, but luckily we did bring our own. Even following the instructions we couldnt get the lounge Tv working properly. Others were okThe area is lovely in a quiet area within easy distance of Douglas. The house was as described. I would recommend and visit again with a group.

Stovell is a fantastic house, very well stocked for all our needs, 7 adults. The setting is superb.

We had a lovely stay at Stovell just before Christmas. The house is in a great location but tucked away at the end of a private driveway surrounded by beautiful grounds. It is very well equipped with everything you could need and for such a big house was very warm and cosy. We would definitely stay here again!

We spent 5 days in Stovell and it was lovely. The house is clean, spacious and relaxing. It was quiet and there was a lovely outdoor area. There was a downstairs en-suite bedroom, which we appreciated. The communication was good. We would happily stay there again.

We very much enjoyed our holiday at Stovell - the rooms are very spacious, the kitchen is extremely well-equipped and the property has a large, mature garden. The property is situated in a quiet area, but within walking distance of Douglas.

We had a fantastic week in this super comfortable and well-equipped house. It had everything we needed and the grounds are lovely too. A fantastic space - we walked to the beach and the central location meant we could get to everywhere really easily. Would really recommend a stay at Stovell. Great for the TT/ Manx Grand Prix course too.

Island Escapes are an amazing company - they gave endless help with the whole booking process and immediate attention to the small maintenance issue we found. We enjoyed our stay in this well equipped and comfortable home.

We stayed here for a week at the start of the summer holidays with my parents, grandad and 3 dogs. The place is stunning! There is literally everything in it that you could possibly need including board games which the kids loved. Loads of space for the dogs outside and in the kitchen, ours are old so enjoyed plodding around the enclosed garden. In a great location, and nicely tucked away so you feel like there's no one around. Grandad loved sitting in the conservatory watching the rabbits out the front and the children playing. Overall a fantastic place to stop, clean, huge and with everything you need.

We stayed at Stovell as a 'staycation' whilst our house was being decorated. It is a beautiful property with stunning grounds to explore and it was lovely watching the rabbits roam around the paddock each day.It was truly a home from home with everything you could possibly need catered for. All the amenities and facilities were as described.Fantastic. Would definitely stay again if needed.

We have had a lovely time but felt the accommodation needs reviewing to make it more appropriate for young children and frail elderly people. This could be done by no glassware and vases etc around and downstairs bathroom with raised seat and toilet railings. Location has been excellent and look forward to coming back to IOM soon
