Mountain View is a stylish, modern, single-level self-catering annex in the peaceful village of Ballaugh, Isle of Man.
Beautifully designed for comfort and convenience, the accommodation offers a spacious living area for two, with a sleek, glossy kitchen complete with all the modern appliances you’ll need – including a Nespresso coffee machine – making it the ideal base for a couple’s island getaway. The super king bedroom features motorised Velux blinds, so you can enjoy lazy mornings or dark, uninterrupted sleep at the touch of a button.
Bi-fold doors open directly from the living area onto the courtyard, where you can unwind in the large hot tub (available for an additional fee). The courtyard is shared with the owners, but guests enjoy private use during their stay. Mountain View is also pet-friendly, so your four-legged companions can join the adventure too.
Ballaugh is a charming location with plenty to see and do. Just a short walk from the annex, you’ll find convenience shops and The Raven, a character-filled country pub with a warm welcome. From here, you can also watch the world-famous TT Races at one of the most iconic spots – Ballaugh Bridge.
Nature lovers will enjoy Ballaugh Beach, a wild, open stretch of sand that’s dog-friendly year-round. It’s also a recognised Dark Sky Discovery Spot, offering minimal light pollution and stunning conditions for stargazing. A short drive away is the Ballaugh Curraghs, a unique wetland habitat rich in birdlife and home to a thriving population of wild wallabies.
With local public transport links close by, it’s easy to hop on a bus and spend the day exploring Ramsey, Peel, or the many other beautiful corners of the Isle of Man.
