Lovely cottage in an excellent location within the centre of Castletown. We had a great week, cottage has everything you need and loved the layout. Well definitely be coming back!
Nice comfortable two bedroom cottage, great for those travelling without a car. Easy access to trains, busses and beach. Lots of nice walks nearby. Castletown is a quiet sleepy place in May before the TT. Be ready for occasional aircraft noise to interrupt the peace but only during daylight hours.
We stayed at Mariner\'s Cottage over the Easter break, and thoroughly enjoyed staying there. \nWhen we arrived everything was clean and tidy, and there was some tea, coffee and cleaning items to help us get set up before going shopping.\nThe cottage was fantastically positioned, close to the castle, square, and all main amenities for the town.\nThe cottage itself was very well maintained, and the bed was very comfy. We did have a slight problem with one of the sinks, but Island Escapes fixed it very quickly, with no delays or issues, thank you.\nAll in all, the cottage was perfect for our needs.
A great place to stay. Clean and comfortable, although the single bed wasn\'t too great. Kitchen was well equipped but a few more dishwasher tablets would have been gratefully received for the price we paid! Island Escapes staff were excellent, handling the small issue we had with the heating. Car parking easy once we had sussed it out. A few coat hooks in the hallway would have been really useful as nowhere to hang wet waterproofs.
Mariners Cottage has been very nicely renovated and we had everything we needed. It was the time of the Manx TT so we thought the price was bit elevated because of that.\n\nThe cottage is sited v ery conveniently for the whole island and we had a very good holiday.. The team at the Island Escapes office were helpful making the parking restrictions more understandable so we never parked illegally.
Great location in centre\'s of Castletown next to Castle with mini supermarket, pubs and restaurants close by. House just right for holiday accommodation for a party of four, and comfortable with all amenities. Thoroughly enjoyed vacation.
We had a very comfortable staycation with our small dog at Mariner\'s Cottage. A lovely \'home from home\' from which we explored many beautiful walking spots. It was also beautifully quiet - thr perfect place to get away from it all! I will certainly recommend it to any friends or family.
Cosy two bedroom cottage in the centre of Castletown, a lovely part of the Isle of Man. Great location for exploring, everything is within a short walking distance, and there are frequent buses to the airport, Douglas and Port Erin. Enough space downstairs with a kitchen/lounge and a lounge/dining room, but both double bedrooms are rather small with limited storage space. Floors and surfaces were clean, but a few cobwebs lurked above. Kitchen was well equipped but a few cups or glasses were chipped or cracked. Island Escapes were very helpful in allowing us to stay two extra nights due to the ferries being cancelled during Storm Kathleen. After our return to the mainland they (not I) noticed they had overcharged us for the extension and refunded us immediately. They had also responded quickly and successfully to a problem with the TV. Overall, a nice stay - we will use Island Escapes again
Staying at Marianas cottage was a really lovely experience. We stayed over the Christmas period and not only was there a Christmas tree up, everything was provided for. It is a cosy, comfortable and homely cottage and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of booking it. Perfect location in the town centre as well.
Mariners Cottage is a lovely old cottage , which lhas been tastefully extended and modernised. It is excellently placed, in the centre of Castletown , near the central square , castle and harbour. You can see the from the bedrooms . \nThere is some outdoor seating and table too. The skylight and stable door at the back are nice features. \nI did have a few quibbles , which the owners and Island Escapes responded to very quickly. \n\nOn the downside , I do think it very expensive. I also think providing no washing powder and only 3 dishwasher tabs , especially considering the cost of rental , was not generous. They did provide more dishwasher tabs , as I complained. I left some in the box to be of help to other customers!
Beautiful cottage in an excellent location.\nHas everything you need would throughly recommend Mariners cottage.
