Set in the heart of Laxey, a historic village on the island's east coast, Glen Cottage puts you within walking distance of a wide range of family-friendly activities. Explore the famous Laxey Wheel, the world's largest working waterwheel, and enjoy spectacular views from the top. Kids will love the Manx Electric Railway, which runs from Laxey Station to Douglas or Ramsey, and for a real adventure, hop aboard the Snaefell Mountain Railway to the island's highest peak.

Laxey also boasts a beautiful beach with plenty of space for paddling, beach games, or simply a walk along the shore. The village has a great selection of family-friendly eateries, from hearty pub lunches to seafront cafés perfect for ice cream or hot chocolate depending on the season.
