Shee Dy Vea is a beautiful self catering holiday home in a peaceful area overlooking Port Erin bay in the south of the Isle of Man. The property has two double bedrooms, lounge, a family bathroom, a spacious kitchen and a dining room that offers incredible views north over Port Erin beach and the village.
Upstairs a viewing lounge provides further elevation to enjoy panoramic views over the bay, Bradda Head and out to sea. The rear of the property has a private secluded sun terrace. Parking is available just outside the property, which also has a private driveway.
Port Erin itself is easily accessed, a footpath directly opposite the property drops down to the beach, less than 5 minutes walk away. From here enjoy a choice of outdoor activities from a boat trip to the Calf of Man, dinghy sailing, paddleboarding or join the Raad Ny foillan (The Way of the Gull) coastal footpath. For something more relaxed there are a number of bars, restaurants and cafes in the area.
The Steam Railway station is also just 5 minutes walk from the property. Take the train through to Douglas or stop off at many of the towns and villages along the way.

Shee dy Vea staycation
Lovely cosy house up on the hill. Fabulous views. Comfortable beds and duvets. Well equipped kitchen. The turret room is a lovely bonus

Beautiful
Lovely stay here, with great views. Highly recommend, near all local amenities, nice and cosy. Very spacious inside too.

Stunning views
A nice property with stunning views over Port Erin bay. We spent most of our time in the dining room as it was very comfortable and made the most of the lovely view. Only a short walk down to the sea or the village and a slightly longer walk up to Bradda Head and Milners tower. A perfect location. One small downside was that the next door property is having an extension built so the scaffolding partially hides the view and it was quite noisy at times, we also had workmen on scaffolding peering down through the roof lights in the kitchen. Im sure this wont be a problem for long though.

Staycation 2020
Stayed here for 3 nights in November after the English travel ban scuppered out foreigh holiday plans. Its a lovely house with superb views over the beach and Bradda Head. Within walking distance to several restaurants and cafes and 5mins quick path to the beach/promenade. Very modern inside but still retains its original charm. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay in Port Erin
External appearance was not very welcoming. In need of a paint and garden needs to be attended to. The interior was very nice and the views from upstairs were stunning. Very nice few days down south!!

Home from Home
Magnificent setting with superb views across the bay and headlands. Welcoming aspect confirmed once inside. Homely feel to each room with spacious well laid out kitchen. Every room well kept and comfortable. Favourite has to be the upstairs room - warmed by the sun and with panoramic views that would be hard to match. A definite home from home and we would love to stay again.

Staycation at other end of island
We know Port Erin well, so no suprises, but enjoyed our short break.. Weather was disappointing, twice we found ourselves saying we would have to come back in summer ! But it was mid July. Everything we needed at property the only downside for us was the step down into the kitchen, which my wife forgot about in middle of the night and went flying. In her seventies so not a great thing to happen, We solved by shutting kitchen door when we went to bed. Welcome pack appreciated, thank you Island Escapes, who changed original dates due to COVID with no problems... Great customer service

Felt like both a holiday and a home
Stayed here for 3 nights on our staycation. The views are something else! 2 double bedrooms were comfy and the shower was the best ever. Impressive kitchen with everything we needed. Only comments would be there didn't seem to be any table mats anywhere? Very homely, tempted to come back.

Just loved it
Some lovely touches that I was not expecting, e.g. bread, milk, butter, coffee, teabags, biscuits, sweets. Place was great location and have asked Island Escapes if it is free for the August bank holiday. One tiny little thing was it would have been good to have some shower gel - couple of people assumed there would be some. Definitely recommend this to others. Just lovely
