Spacious well equipped holiday accommodation, well located for exploring the Isle of Man

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Cosy Nook at Broogh Fort Cottages for 6 nights in March - apparently as the first ever guests. We were warmly welcomed by the owner Lynn, who communicated well, both before our arrival and if we needed anything during our stay. The welcome basket of provisions was wonderful too, especially as we arrived on a Sunday evening. Location is about 15 minutes drive from the ferry port in Douglas, in a country area, but with excellent road links to anywhere on the Island. It was our first time in the Isle of Man, so we had some lovely days out exploring most areas, before returning to the property to relax. It is not far to Tesco in Douglas to pick up food supplies, and we ate out one evening locally at The Forge restaurant nearby - it seemed a bit pricy to us but the food we ordered was good. Cosy Nook is one of 4 holiday lets at Broogh Fort Cottages. It has a separate front door, with space to park the car right outside, and is all on one floor. It has a comfortable lounge with access to the decking and hot tub, and the kitchen is very well equipped, The bedroom is extremely spacious - about the largest that I have ever slept in, with a very large comfy bed, and a lovely clean and spacious en suite shower room. The whole place is well furnished, with a high spec finish, and lots of little helpful details have been thought of. The WiFi worked well and the heating kept the place nice and warm. As it was March, we only used the hot tub 2 or 3 times, including at sunset and after dark. I imagine it must be lovely in the Summer when it is a bit warmer and less windy, watching the sun set over the hills beyond. We would highly recommend Cosy Nook to couples or friends looking for a lovely get away in the Isle of Man.
