One of the joys of a visit to the Isle of Man is the sheer diversity of the localities packed into its 227 square miles. High among the favourites of many locals and visitors is the picturesque village of Laxey, about 7 miles up the East coast of the Island from the capital town, Douglas.
Yn Chruinnaght Celtic Gathering has been celebrating Manx, Irish, Cornish, Welsh, Scottish and Breton culture for over 40 years. Based in Peel, a fishing town on the beautiful west coast of the Isle of Man, the festival presents six days of music and dance concerts, family friendly ceilis, talks & workshops, Celtic language & literature, delicious food ānā folk sessions, artisan craft fair and lots of free community events.
