Amazing house for a special weekend

We had a wonderful stay here with family and friends visiting from across. It was the perfect size for 17 of us, with all but 2 of the 10 bedrooms being special in some way. The views from the front and sides were beautiful and the garden and hot tub and patios/terraces were lovely. Has a spacious front hall with grand piano and a lovely bright and welcoming kitchen/living area with aga. It felt very luxurious. Only suggestion is some fittings e.g. rusty shower racks could do with replacing. Island Escapes were very helpful and accommodating in arranging our stay.

Great property and location for a family gathering

We chose Knock Rushon House to celebrate our fathers 90th birthday as whole family, the property was large enough to take 14 adults and 3 children with rooms to spare, the main kitchen/living area was a great space to be together and celebrate. The bedrooms are plentiful (10) comfortable and well configured, plenty of bathrooms which all functioned great, some were slightly better than others but no issues. We hired an outside caterer for the main even on the Saturday evening and it was. Great success with us all seated comfortably round the huge kitchen table. We made use of the good sized hot tub and all had a lovely walk round the coast and into Castletown, it’s a great spot. Negatives ? Not many the house and location is great, yes it’s got signs of age and use but it’s generally in good condition, maybe needs the kitchen restocking with up to date glasses and utensils and few more loo rolls would have been helpful.
