Island Escapes Joins the B Corp Sapphire Holidays

Since our early beginnings, Island Escapes has grown significantly from a dream of property management on the Isle of Man to the award-winning holiday letting agency that we’re so proud of today. 

We’re excited to share a new chapter in our journey: Island Escapes is now part of the Sapphire Holidays family. Family-owned and B Corp accredited, the group of renowned self-catering holiday letting agencies includes Aspects Holidays, Boutique Retreats, Classic Cottages, and Unique Hideaways, and is the go-to provider of magical holidays in the UK and Isle of Man.

By joining Sapphire Holidays, we are now proud recipients of a B Corp accreditation, celebrating the values we have held from the outset. We intend to build on our commitment to use our business for good, maintaining the high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability that come with being a B Corp accredited company. 

We’ve always believed in a considered approach, from reducing single-use plastics in our properties and supporting local conservation efforts to partnering with UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man. We provide our guests with a property-specific digital guidebook, and only print essential information to complement it. This significantly reduces printing and CO2 emissions, replacing the printed materials we used in the past for navigating the island.

Outside of the properties, we’re proud to partner with the Manx Wildlife Trust and Culture Vannin - two charities at the heart of what makes the Isle of Man unique. From protecting the Island’s wildlife and wild places to celebrating and promoting its rich cultural heritage, we support their missions to create a sustainable future where nature and culture are accessible to everyone. Since 2020, we’ve supported Isle of Man charity Isle Listen, whose vital work helps improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people across the island, a cause that is close to our hearts. Our commitment to the community goes beyond charity, too. We’re proud sponsors of Castletown Lawn Tennis Club and Malew Ladies Football Club, helping to support local sports and foster a strong sense of belonging.

Joining a B Corp certified group gives us a platform to amplify these already embedded values, ensuring that every stay with us supports a more responsible and regenerative travel experience.

We’ll continue to explore new ways to reduce our environmental impact, support local culture, and offer unforgettable escapes that are kind to the planet and enriching for our guests.
