UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man
UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man is a high profile project which represents a world first for the Isle of Man. We have been awarded UNESCO status as a world biosphere region –the first entire island nation in the world to gain this prestigious accolade. Island Escapes is a proud business partner of UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man.
The ultimate aim with the project is active conservation of everything we’re proud of in the Isle of Man - balancing a vibrant community, thriving economy and healthy environment.
As a project partner, Island Escapes has committed to a pledge to support the Biosphere.
Island Escapes manage many of the properties we let, on behalf of our owners so we are in a strong position to support the environment and sustainability.
Guests arriving at Island Escapes fully managed properties receive a welcome pack that includes a range of produce supporting those local businesses. In the future we will work with Isle of Man food and drink providers to enable guests to order additional items for their stay, or to take home.
We have adopted the Manx Wildlife Trust as our chosen charity supporting this strong environmental pledge.
