As a project partner, Island Escapes has committed to a pledge to support the Biosphere. 

What are we doing at Island Escapes?

Island Escapes manage many of the properties we let, on behalf of our owners so we are in a strong position to make concsious decisions that support the environment and sustainability. Examples are using eco-friendly products as much as we can and the installation of smart central heating controls in many properties to reduce usage.

Working with another Biosphere partner, RecycleCollect, a new recycling initiative has been launched at more than 70 of the properties fully managed by Island Escapes. The company is always looking at ways to reduce waste, particularly in reducing the unnecessary laundering of items.

Guests arriving at Island Escapes properties receive a welcome pack that includes a range of produce including Manx milk, butter, bread, cheese and local chocolates, supporting those local businesses. The company works with Isle of Man food and drink providers to enable guests to order additional items for their stay, or to take home.

The company is also part of the free Refill Scheme, run locally by UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man, and sponsors the water cooler in the departure lounge at the Isle of Man Airport.

We are excited to be partnered with EnviroRental, the go-to source for short-term rental sustainability resources. This partnership allows us to provide our property owners with tangible, practical strategies for improving the sustainable aspects of their holiday home business.

We are committed to the Community we live and work in, with this in mind we have a number of community projects that we support together with partnering with local businesses where we can.
